1/2 a tree...

Christmas is going to be much different this year. This time last year Ava was still crawling and we were able to keep her out of certain areas, but this year she is ALL over the place.

I had the great idea to put the tree up this weekend, I always put it up before Thanksgiving, but this is a little early. I couldn't wait any longer so up it went! I had already made Ava friendly ornaments that didn't have hooks and weren't breakable, that is why it is half naked! Haha. Ava helped make them and had a blast... she put in the "fuzz" as she called it. So I thought I had it all figured out, until I spent ALL Saturday putting them back on the tree over and over again!!! So now I have a very homely looking half decorated tree, but Ava doesn't seem to mind! =) I'm not even sure I can keep the lights on... she plays with the cord. And presents under the tree are out of the question! Maybe next year...

On the other hand it will be SO much fun watching Ava open her presents, read her the super cool baby Jesus book we found, watch her play with new big girl toys, and celebrate her 2nd birthday!!!



Here's a picture of my sad tree, it doesn't even have the topper since it's glass! I'm guessing the tree will be knocked over at least once. =)

Mmm... spaghetti o's! I walked into the kitchen and heard her say "gross" and came back to this.
